Bare bright copper is the highest grade of copper scrap, consisting of clean, uncoated, and unalloyed copper wire with no corrosion, paint, or other contaminants.
Specifications
- Must be 99% pure copper with no alloys
- No insulation, paint, or coatings
- No corrosion or oxidation
- Minimum #16 gauge wire thickness
- No brass or bronze attachments
Preparation Tips
- Strip all insulation completely from copper wire
- Remove any brass or steel fittings
- Keep dry to prevent oxidation
